We stayed the night near Dr. Pineâs little cave in the canyon wall. She had a storage of herbs, spices and dried meats that she graciously shared with us. Len and Remington ate more than anyone elseâLen because of the news of his pregnancy, and Remington because he had a lot of catching up to do before he reached a healthy state.
I found Len outside on the cliff ledge, his legs dangling over the side as he stared up at the night sky. Stars dotted the blackness in bright pinpricks of lights. I sat next to him, putting my hand around his shoulder. He let out a soft hum and leaned into me. I inhaled his scent, filling my lungs with it. It was soft yet lightly musky, floral and sweet with a hint of spice. I couldnât get enough of it.
I sniffed closer to his hair, then down his neck. Len giggled.
âThat tickles,â he said.
âCanât help it. You smell so goodâ¦â
He grinned and exposed his neck. The creamy skin of his throat bared to me was absolutely delicious. I growled and nuzzled it.
âMine,â I muttered.
âWhatâs up with you?â Len asked with a laugh. âYouâre unusually⦠wolfish tonight.â
I tightened my arm possessively. âCanât help myself. Youâre irresistible.â
A blush spread over Lenâs cheeks. He rolled his head to expose more of his skin to me. I took it as an invitation and dove in, kissing and gently nipping his flesh. Len shuddered.
âIf weâre gonna do this, letâs do it properly,â Len murmured. Lust flashed in his eyes.
I was already too worked up to think. âHuh?â
Len gestured to the mouth of the cavern. Dr. Pine and Remington were inside, while Dax and Sage huddled near the base of the cliff. All of them were in range to hearâor even see usâgetting frisky.
I groaned. In that moment I didnât care if the whole world saw. I needed my mate.
âCome on, Hugo,â Len said, chuckling. He took my hand and stood. âI love the pack, but I donât want them to see my bare ass.â
The thought of it made me grumble. âWell, when you put it like that, I donât either.â
We skirted the edge of the rocky ramp, trying to remain hidden from the rest of the pack as we snuck off like a couple of teenagers. It was innocent, yet I felt a thrill like Iâd never experienced. I grasped Lenâs hand as I led him quietly away from the others and he followed with an excited grin.
Around the corner, I found a secluded spot illuminated only by moonlight and stars. It was a small natural alcove in the canyon wall that was perfect for a pair of horny shifters.
Len took the initiative by laying back against the smooth stone with a sultry sigh. He raised his arms and splayed out, waiting for me to remove his clothes. I wasted no time getting them out of the way. The space in my pants tightened when Lenâs naked body lay before me like a temple to worship.
